Мета: дати поняття про Міжнародний день європейських мов. Заохотити вивчати мову і застосовувати її у повсякденному житті.

Обладнання: логотип Міжнародного дня, карта Європи.

Девіз: Мови дають дітям можливість розвитку.

Motto: Languages give children great opportunities to grow.

Ведучий. Good afternoon, dear guests! We are glad to see you! The European Day of Languages is on the 26^th of September

Ведуча. Доброго дня, шановні присутні! Ми раді Вас вітати. 26 вересня - Європейський день мов.

Ведучий. Europe is a «Melting Pot» of languages. English is spoken practically all over the world. It is spoken as the mother tongue in Great Britain, the United States of America, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. It is one of 6 official languages of the United Nations. It is studied as a foreign language in many schools. English is very popular now. It’s the language of computers, science, business, sport and politics. 
Ведуча. Англійською мовою розмовляють практично в усьому світі. Нею говорять в Великій Британії, Сполучених Штатах Америки, Канаді, Австралії і Новій Зеландії. Це одна з шести офіційних мов організації об’єднаних націй. Її вивчають як іноземну мову в багатьох школах. Англійська мова дуже популярна в наш час. Це мова комп’ютерів, науки, бізнесу, спорту і політики. 

Ведучий. "The European Day of Languages" is not just reminds you that there are many languages, but also encourage citizens to learn them. Knowing at least one more language - is not just a norm in the modern world, but also a necessity.

Ведуча. «Європейський день мов» не просто нагадує про те, що існує багато мов, але ще й спонукає громадян вивчати їх. Знати як мінімум ще одну мову –це не просто норма в сучасному світі, але й необхідність.

Ведучий. Let’s have competitions - battle of erudites «Languages unite nations» and have a good time together (2 teams).

Ведуча. Сьогодні ми проведемо змагання- бій ерудитів «Мови єднають народи» і гарно проведемо час разом (2 команди).

1 конкурс. Розминка (питання про історію Дня європейських мов і про мови Європи)- клоуз-тест.

1. Коли було прийнято Радою Європи рішення про відзначення Міжнародного дня європейських мов?

2. Яка мета дала поштовх до такої дії?

3. У яких європейських мовах слово «мова» має декілька варіантів? Чому?

 2 конкурс. «Найвищі життєві цінності» ( на сторонах куба 6 букв - F, P, M, B, L, H). Команди по черзі кидають куб і називають слова, що означають найвищі життєві цінності для народів світу на букву, що випала на верхній стороні)

F-family, father , freedom, friend, friendship etc.

P-peace, people etc.

B-Bible, bread, brother, brotherhood etc.

M-mother etc.

L-love, life etc.

H-health, happiness, help.

3 конкурс. «Назви проблему світову» (картки з буквами)

Слова: вода, свіже повітря, екологія,їжа, забруднення, сміття, рослини, тварини, природа, війна, здоров’я, загроза, турбота, довкілля і т.д.

Діти коротко англійською мовою називають проблему. «Забруднення довкілля», «Війни-загрози довкіллю і життю людини», «Нестача води» і т.д.

4 конкурс. Конкурс перекладачів (перекласти прислів’я з англійської мови на українську).

Підведення підсумків. Оголошення переможців

Вчитель. Не знаючи іноземної мови, не можливо пізнати рідну мову. Вивчаючи іноземні мови ми відкриваємо світ, адже зараз нормою вважається знання двох-трьох іноземних мов. Чим більше мов ми знаємо, тим нам легше зрозуміти людей з різних країн світу.
